Malcolm "Wayne" Johnson of Plaster Rock passed away
peacefully at the Grand Falls General Hospital on November 12,
2015.
Wayne was born in Oxbow, NB on June 19, 1933. He was the son of the late Alonzo and Ruby (Currie) Johnson. Wayne leaves behind his loving wife, Patricia Johnson; two daughters, Linda Wambolt (Ken) of Airdrie, AB, and Darlene Tessier (Brian) of Caledonia, ON; two sons, Wayne Johnson (Mary) of Dresden, OH, and Kevin Johnson (Lisa) of Hamilton, ON; three sisters, Mavis Everett of Plaster Rock, NB, Greta Campbell (Wendell) of Plaster Rock, NB, and Naida Margison of Woodstock, NB; and one brother, Garth Johnson of Tusket, NS; his step-children John Downs (Annette) of Grimsby, ON, Susan Meiler (Leonard) of Brantford, ON, Kimberley Thompson of Brantford, ON, Michael Downs (Sherry) of Grimsby, ON. Wayne was also survived by 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by four brothers, Walter, George, John, and William; and six sisters, Jackie, Anna, Hazel, Alice, Janie, and Vida.
A private memorial service was held on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from the Tobique Chapel. Rev. Warren Clapham officiated. Interment followed in the Burntland Brook Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
