Matt Breau

Matt Breau of Plaster Rock, formerly of Odell, passed away peacefully at the Tobique Valley Manor on January 14, 2016.

Matt was born in Neguac, NB on May 1, 1932. He was the son of the late Greg and Melina (Vautour) Breau. Matt leaves behind his wife Mildred Breau (Goucher); his daughters Joyce Sutton (John) of Fredericton, Yvette Ward (Randy) of Plaster Rock, Penny Lewis (Barry) of Lethbridge, AB, Chantal Goodine (Wayne) of Plaster Rock, Kelly Deschenes (Robert) of Arthurette, Rochelle Chapel (Butch) of Plaster Rock; his sons Sam Breau (Cheryl) of Plaster Rock, Danny Breau (Denise) of Plaster Rock, Curtis Breau (Julie) of Crombie Settlement; sisters Mathilida Cassie (Edmund) of Neguac, Leona Mallais (Alyre) of Saint John, Louise Breau of Grand Bay, Estere Butler (Tony) of Toronto, Clementine Robichaud of Neguac, Jeanne Basque of Neguac, Stella Robichaud (Alvida) of Neguac; his brothers Roger Breau of Tracadie, Isaac (Alma) Breau of Neguac, Jarvis (Edith) Breau of Neguac; 25 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.

Matt was predeceased by his parents; his daughter Jocelyn Breau; his sons Baby Breau, Dwight Breau, and Greg Breau; his sister Helen Robichaud; brothers Levi and Arismal Breau.

Funeral service was held on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 2 pm from the Tobique Chapel. Rev. Aaron DeMerchant officiated. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Red Rapids, NB at a later date.

Music for the service was by Sarah Francoeur, Valerie Tompkins, and Rev. Aaron DeMerchant. Remembrances were given by Chantal Goodine and Kelly Deschenes.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
