Donald "Luigi" Paul II
Donald "Luigi" Paul II of Tobique First Nation passed away at the Upper River Valley Hospital on April 2, 2016.

Donald was born in Tobique First Nation on November 15, 1951. He was the son of the late Donald Paul I and the late Mary (Bernard) Paul. Donald leaves behind his wife Jean Born; his son Donald Paul III of Fort St. John, BC; his grandchildren Jacob, Selena, and Emanuel Paul; his sister Imelda Perley (David) of St. Mary's First Nation; his brothers Robert Paul of Tobique First Nation, Dana Jaworski (Gisele) of Grand Falls. Donald was predeceased by his parents; his daughter Patricia Paul; his son Jason Paul; his sisters April Paul and Rosalie Paul-Smyth.

Donald was a Residential School Survivor. He was a lifelong hunter and fisherman. He also worked in forestry and the oil fields.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 11 am from St. Ann's Catholic Church. Father Curtis Sappier celebrated. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery.

Music for the service was by organist Tracey Hamilton. the eulogy was given by Edwin Bernard.

Pallbearers were Edwin Bernard, Vincent Nicholas, Bob Bear, Tony Bear, Jamie Idle, and Verne Perley.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
