Hazel  Perley
With her family by her side, Hazel Perley of Tobique First Nation passed away peacefully at her home on April 30, 2016.

Hazel was born in Peter Dana Point, ME on September 11, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Mary May (Sockabasin) Tomah. Hazel leaves behind her husband Elmer Perley; her daughters Nancy Polches of Peter Dana Point, ME, Eva Sockabasin and Sarah Sappier, both of Tobique First Nation; her sons Larry Sockabasin Sr., Raymond Sockabasin Sr. (Mary Ann), Thomas Perley (Morgan), all of Tobique First Nation; sisters Elsie Kearney of Easton, ME, Linda Steeves and May Sabattus, both of Peter Dana Point, ME, Elizabeth Gouin of Bangor, ME; her bothers Louis Polches (Linda), Charles Polches, and Chris Polches (Denise), all of Peter Dana Point, ME, Roger Paul (Paula) of Hampden, ME; 25 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; numerous godchildren, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind two very close friends, Joanna Dana and George "Billy" Sockabasin, both of Peter Dana Point, ME.

She is predeceased by her parents; her brother James Polchies; and her granddaughter Kara Sockabasin.

Funeral service was held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 11 am from St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Father Curtis Sappier will celebrated. Interment followed in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery.

Music for the service was by organist Tracy Hamilton and the Francis Family. The eulogy was given by Roger Paul.

Pallbearers were Lyndon Sappier, Aaron Nicholas, Trent Sappier, Vincent Nicholas, Brad Perley, and Roger Newell.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
