Hermel R. Michaud

Hermel R. Michaud of Edmundston, formerly of St-Leonard, passed away peacefully at the Edmundston Regional Hospital on June 15, 2016. He was the husband of the late Anne-Marie Michaud (Dupere) and the son of the late Levite Michaud and the late Clara Levesque.

He leaves behind his son Maurice (Carol) of St-Leonard; his three daughters Barbara Rafter (Jack) of Perth-Andover, Suzanne Thacker (Robin) of Omaha, Nebraska, Lise Voisine (Lionel Bonenfant) of Clair; his sisters Jeanne St-Pierre (late Egide) od Fredericton, Gilberte Kelly (late Jim) of North Carolina; Therese Sirois (late Rio) of St-Leonard; Geralda Cyr (late Real) of St-Leonard Parent; brothers Marcel Michaud of Florida and Mathieu Michaud (Laurenna) of Moncton; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife; sisters Diane, Gisele, and Rinette; brothers Odilon and Francis; as well as his grandson Billy-Joe Bowmaster.

Hermel was a life member of the 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, Council 2743 and the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Assemble # 622 of St-Leonard. He was a member of the Canadian National Retirees for the past 34 years, a Veteran of the WWII and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 21, of Grand Falls.

Resting at the St-Leonard Roman Catholic Church with visitation on Monday 3-4 pm. His funeral service will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 4 pm from the St-Leonard Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
