Wayne Nicholas

Wayne Nicholas of Tobique First Nation passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on September 15, 2016.

Wayne was born in Tobique First Nation on February 20, 1946. He was the son of the late Lewis and Veronica (Deveau) Nicholas. Wayne leaves behind his wife Kathy Nicholas; his daughter Leanne Nicholas of Tobique First Nation; his sons Christopher Coonishish (Leslie Ann) of Chisabibi, QC, Eric Nicholas, Brian Nicholas, Robin Nicholas, and Quinton Nicholas, all of Tobique First Nation; his grandchildren Kianne Nicholas-Perley, Malsom Nicholas-Perley, Christopher Coonishish Jr., Christine Coonishish, Chase Paul, Brydon Nicholas, Bryce Nicholas, Jetta Bear, Alaira Nicholas, Infinity Nicholas; his sisters Iris Nicholas of Tobique First Nation, Jeanette Brewer (Gene) of Texas, Elizabeth Polchis of Orono, ME, Nancy Polchis of Peter Dana Point, ME, Dorothy Bear of Virginia, Imelda Perley (David) of Fredericton; his brothers Vaughn Nicholas (Bernie) of Tobique First Nation, Eldon Bernard (Della) of Tobique First Nation, Roger Paul (Paula) of Hampden, ME, Robert Tomah of Tobique First Nation, Christie Polchis of Peter Dana Point, ME.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents; his daughter Veronica Mona Nicholas; his sister Mona Nicholas; brothers Dickie and Roger Nicholas.

Funeral service was held on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 11 am from Wayne's home. Pastor Gerald Nicholas officiated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
