1925-2016
With his family by his side, John W. Jamer Sr. of Perth-Andover passed
away peacefully at his home on September 24, 2016.
John was born in Perth-Andover on June 18, 1925. He was the son of the late William Barrett and Myrtle (Jenkins) Jamer. John leaves behind his daughters Linda Baird (Jim) of Perth-Andover, Sharon Jamer (Mark DeMerchant) of Tobique Narrows, Laurie Bouvier (Michael) of Moncton; his sons Mark Jamer (Bonnie) of Miramichi, Brian Jamer (Wanda) of Wicklow, Rev. Dan Jamer (Marion) of St. Stephen; his sisters Mary Doughty of Fort Fairfield, ME, Deanna Clark of Halifax, NS; brothers Richard Jamer of Perth-Andover, David Jamer (Dora) of Saint John; 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
John was predeceased by his parents; his wife Katherine Jamer (Wheeler); his son Johnny Jamer Jr.; and a grandson, David Jamer.
Funeral service was held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 2 pm from the Perth-Andover Baptist Church. Rev. Michael Fredericks officiated. Interment followed in the Perth-Andover Baptist Cemetery.
Music for the service was by pianist Marianne Bell.
Pallbearers were Justin Parker, Brian Jamer Jr., Toby Lawrence, John Sadler, Brian Johnston, and Richard Johnston.
Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
