Joseph Ruest

Following a brief illness, Joseph "Joe" Ruest of Morrell Siding passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on October 8, 2016.

Joe was born in Perth-Andover on July 1, 1964. He was the son of Patrick Ruest and Phyllis Sewell. Joe leaves behind his sisters Tammy Gorey (Peter) of Bath, Mary Lou Ruest (Mark Lanto) of Lower Kintore; his half-sister Colleen Winfrey of Belleville, ON; his niece Natasha Gorey of Ottawa, ON; his nephews Andrew and Christopher Gorey, and Travis Ruest of Grand Falls; his uncle Maurice Ruest (Charlotte).

Joe was raised by the late Vaughn and Hazel Bragdon. He also leaves behind his extended family, Dale Bragdon, Rocky Bragdon, Kristin Bragdon, Danny Bragdon, Matthew Bragdon, Chris Stone, Allison Stone, Cheryl Johnston; along with his good friends Maurice Deschenes and Gary Price.

Joe enjoyed many past times. Among them was playing board games, painting by numbers, knitting, puzzles, listening to 50's and 60's music, and playing cards, especially 45.

Funeral service was held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 2 pm from Brunswick Funeral Home. Father Gilbert Doddatto officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery.

The eulogy was given by Chris Stone. Music for the service was by Gisele Beaulieu and Kristin Bragdon.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
