Samantha Bateman
Samantha Bateman of Hinton, AB, formerly of Perth-Andover, passed away with her parents and friends by her side on Sunday, January 29, 2017.

Samantha was born in Toronto, Ontario on September 13th, 1994. Samantha leaves behind her best friend and love Nicholas Morton; her father Stephen Bateman (Louise) of Ottawa; her mother Beverly Hoyt (David), her brother Jacob Hoyt, and her sister Sarah Hoyt, all from Perth-Andover. Samantha also leaves behind her maternal grandparents Bonnie Goodine of Perth-Andover and Gordon Goodine (Mary-Linda) of Napanee, ON, Kendell and Linda Hoyt of Quaker Brook; as well as many aunts and uncles and cousins.

Samantha was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Samuel and Rita Bateman.

Samantha moved to Perth-Andover in 1998. She graduated from Southern Victoria High school in Perth-Andover in 2012. Samantha graduated from Oulton College in 2015 as a Dental Hygienist. She and her high school sweetheart Nick Morton moved to Hinton, Alberta after graduation.

Samantha beautiful spirit and smile will always be with us in our hearts.

A special thank you to the staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton who took such great care of Sam and all of us.

A very special thank you to Eliane Sullivan and Sydney Deleavey for loving Samantha like she was your own and being by our side.

A celebration of Samantha's life was held at Brunswick Funeral Home on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 4 pm. Rev. David Ferrell officiated.

Music for the service was by Debbie McQuarrie. Remarks were shared by Samantha's mother, Beverly Hoyt, her father Stephen Bateman, and her aunts Andrea Goodine and Kenda DeMerchant.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
