Archie DeMerchant
Archibald "Archie" DeMerchant passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on February 3, 2017.

Archie was born in Upper Kintore on December 18, 1924. He was the son of the late Ernest and Olive (Pimlott) DeMerchant. Archie leaves behind his children Stephen DeMerchant of Odell and Joyce DeMerchant of Presque Isle, ME; his grandchildren Troy DeMerchant of St. Almo and Wendi Billard of Grand Falls-Windsor, NF; his great grandchildren Travis, Tristan, Liam, Tess, Erin, and Nate; his brothers Glen DeMerchant of Perth-Andover, Ronald DeMerchant of Upper Kintore, Donald DeMerchant (Anita) of Hartland; his sister-in-law Laura DeMerchant of Upper Kintore and his brother-in-law Henry Martin of Upper Kintore.

Archie was predeceased by his parents; his wife Eva DeMerchant (Skinner); his sisters Neola Brooks, Marita Martin, and Dorothy DeWitt; brothers Richard, Lewis, Nimrod, and Earl DeMerchant.

A memorial service was held at Brunswick Funeral Home on Saturday, February 11, 2017. Pastor Michael Fredericks officiated. Interment will be in St. Bartholomew's Anglican Cemetery in Arthurette at a later date.

Music for the service was by Isabel Morton and Pastor Michael Fredericks. The eulogy was given by Archie's grandson, Troy DeMerchant. Other remarks were also shared by Sheila Cummings.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
