Ellsworth DeMerchant

Ellsworth Borden DeMerchant of Perth-Andover passed away at the Hotel Dieu Hospital on February 9, 2017 after many years of failing health.

Ellsworth was born in Bairdsville, NB on June 8, 1940. He was the son of the late Borden and Phyllis (Taylor) DeMerchant. Ellsworth is survived by sons, Eric and Kendall DeMerchant; daughter Nancy Smith (Derek); grandson Michael Smith and his children's mother Sandra Taylor; brother Gary DeMerchant(Carol); sisters Carol Johnston (Eugene) & Rita Rattray (late Donald); nieces and nephews.

The family would like to especially thank Helen Crain. She was a very a good neighbour to Ellsworth and helped him for many years. We will be forever grateful to her.

In keeping with Ellsworth's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral held. Interment will be in the Presbyterian Rural cemetery at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
