Gillian MacLean
Gillian Elizabeth MacLean, formerly of Plaster Rock, NB, passed away unexpectedly in Vancouver, BC on March 21, 2017.

Gillian was born in Plaster Rock, NB on December 17, 1987. She was the daughter of Daniel and Rosalind MacLean of Plaster Rock. Beside her parents, Gil leaves behind her sister Diana Brown (Brandon) of Fredericton; and her nephew Logan Brown of Fredericton; her paternal grandmother Edith MacLean of Dalhousie Junction, NB.

Gillian was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Harry and Anna Van Zuylen, as well as her paternal grandfather Howard MacLean.

Gil was concluding her second Masters Degree in Vancouver, BC when she passed away. She was an incredible woman and was loved deeply by all who knew her.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 2 pm from St. Andrew's United Church. Rev. Sarah Magie officiated.

Music for the service was by organist Peter Penny and the church choir. Remembrances were shared by Danny MacLean and Diane Brown. Scripture was read by Krystal LeBel and a poem was read by Brandon Brown.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gillian’s name to narcolepsy research or a memorial scholarship.
