Phillip Ruff

Phillip Andrew Ruff of Arthurette, NB, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on April 27, 2017.

Phillip was born in Oxbow, NB on September 25, 1927. He was the son of the late Abraham and Lenta (Padget) Ruff. Phillip leaves behind his daughters Donna Cozens (Daniel) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Wanda Mayo (Richard) of Arthurette; his sons G. Andrew Ruff (Betty) of Oil City, ON, Charles Ruff of Brantford, ON, James Ruff (Barb) of Brantford, ON; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; his four-legged companion, Marley; sisters Damie Sisson of Plaster Rock, Jane Wright of Perth-Andover, Marie Larose (Len) of Kingston, ON; and brother Arthur Ruff (Leona) of Perth-Andover. Phillip was also a father figure to Phyllis LaKing (Larry) of Perth-Andover.

Phillip was predeceased by his parents; his wife Greta Ruff; his grandson Samuel Cozens; his sisters Pearl Ashworth, Geneva Burgoyne, Edna McGuire, and Eva Brown; and his brothers James, Bernie, and Noah Ruff.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 1 pm from Brunswick Funeral Home. Rev. Todd McGuire officiated. Interment followed in the Burntland Brook Cemetery.

Music for the service was by Rev. Todd and Penny McGuire. The eulogy was given by Daniel Cozens and a poem was read by Charles Ruff.

Pallbearers were David McGuire, Norman McGuire, David Ruff, John Ruff, Joey Ruff, and Dennis Ruff.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
