Wendell Campbell
With his family by his side, Wendell Campbell of Plaster Rock, NB, passed away peacefully at his home on November 20, 2017.

Wendell was born in Plaster Rock, NB, on June 26, 1923. He was the son of the late Samuel and Clara (Mackey) Campbell. Wendell leaves behind his wife of 73 years, Greta Campbell (Johnson); his daughter, Karen Levesque (Kent) of Catlett, Virginia; his son, Allen Campbell of Plaster Rock, NB; his grandchildren, Kerri Stribling (Keith) of Alberta, Katherine Radchenko (Derek) of Alberta, Joshua Levesque (Janet) of Virginia, Dawn Robinson (Ryan) of Virginia, and Jonathan Levesque (Samantha) of Virginia; 26 great grandchildren; his sisters, Gwen MacKean (Ray) of Halifax, NS, Barbara Begley of Whitby, ON; his brother, Reid Campbell (Bette) of Moncton, NB; along with many nieces and nephews.

Wendell was predeceased by his parents; his grandson, Jeremy Levesque; his daughter-in-law, Connie Campbell; his sister Helen Mollins; brothers, William "Bill" Campbell and Bruce Campbell.

Wendell was a Navy Veteran of the Second World War having served on the corrett HMCS Bittersweet. Wendell was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #29, was a charter member of the Tobique Lions Club, an original member of the Plaster Rock Golf and Curling Club, an original member of the Plaster Rock Volunteer Fire Department, and he was also a member of the Plaster Rock United Baptist Church.

Wendell enjoyed many activities in his younger years such as golf, hunting, fishing, woods guiding, and especially tennis up to 91 years of age. He was a very community minded individual.

Wendell was also a well known and respected business owner. He owned and operated Campbell's Clothing Store in Plaster Rock for many years.

Funeral service was held on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 11 am from the Plaster Rock United Baptist Church. Rev. Leo Gallant officiating, assisted by Rev. Emile Arsenault. Interment followed in the Plaster Rock Community Cemetery.

Remembrances were shared by Wendell's son, Allen Campbell, and his grandson, Joshua Levesque.

Music for the service was by organist Susan Geneau, as well as David King, Valerie Tompkins, Charlene Fraser, and Wendell's grandchildren and their spouses.

Pallbearers were Joshua Levesque, Jonathan Levesque, Ryan Robinson, Keith Stribeling, Derek Redchenko, and Cody Arpin.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
