Doris Reed
Following a lengthy illness, Doris Reed of St. Almo, NB, passed away peacefully at the Tobique Valley Manor on January 16, 2018.

Doris was born in Bon Accord, NB, on April 1, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Aleene (White) Green. Doris leaves behind her children, Lee Reed (Anne) of St. Almo, NB, David Reed (Elizabeth) of St. Almo, NB, Kim Cooper (Leigh) of Odell, NB; her grandchildren, Wayne Reed, Heather Reed, Andrew Reed, Ryden Reed, Shasta Reed, Bryson Reed, Jenaca Deleavey, Melana Rogers, Colby Cooper, and Chelby Cooper; her great grandchildren, Brayden Fitzherbert, Kyler Deleavey, Mariah Fitzherbert, Owen Deleavey, Emma Rogers, and Alec Rogers; her sisters, Sheila Linton (William) of Three Brooks, NB, Ruby Robertson (Clem) of Plaster Rock, NB, Sharon Price of Woodstock, NB, Glenna Anderson of New Denmark, NB, Brenda Simpson (Eddy) of Oshawa, ON, Donna Virtanen of Caribou, ME; her brothers, Charles Green (Gaynell) of Meductic, NB, Carroll Green of Plaster Rock, NB, Reedorn Green (Darlene) of New Denmark, NB, Frederick Green Jr. (Donna) of Plaster Rock, NB; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Doris was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Ralph Reed (2007); sons, John and Blair Reed; her sisters, Agnes Stowe, Sybil Oliver, Bertha Morin, Kathleen Wark, and Uldine Green; brothers, Ralph Green Jr. and Frederick Green Sr.

Doris was a homemaker who loved being surrounded by children, especially if she could get outside with them. she was happiest when her house was full of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her many nieces and nephews. Her favorite sport was capturing the first fiddleheads each spring. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Plaster Rock.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2 pm from the Plaster Rock Baptist Church. Pastor Emile Arsenault officiated. Interment will be in the Three Brooks Cemetery at a later date.

Music for the service was by Susan Geneau and Angie Johnson. The eulogy was given by Susan Baker and a poem was read by Kim Cooper.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
