Marion Goodine
1922-2018
With her daughter by her side, Marie Anne "Marion" Goodine
of Plaster Rock, NB, passed away peacefully at the Grand Falls General
Hospital on February 27, 2018.
Marion was born in Bathurst, NB, on June 11, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Amos and Priscilla (Melanson) Doucette. Marion leaves behind her daughter, Mavis Patterson of Plaster Rock, NB; her grandchildren, Heather Carroll of Saint John, NB, Michael Patterson (Marion) of Moncton, NB, Steven Patterson (Cindy) of Fredericton, NB; eight great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; her brothers, Francis Doucette and Hubert "Gabe" Doucette, both of Plaster Rock, NB; her sister-in-law, Judy Doucette of Plaster Rock, NB; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Marion was predeceased by her parents; her grandson, Brent Patterson; her sisters, Freda Greer, Dorothy Senechal, and Patricia Foster; her brothers, Eloi, Gordon, Andrew and Robert Doucette.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 1 pm from St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Father Paul Paradis officiated. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.
Music for the service was by grandson, Steven Patterson, her great granddaughter, Lauren Patterson, and her good friend, Ron Haddad. The eulogy was given by Marion's great grandson, James Carroll.
Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
