Bernice Brinkman

Bernice Lillian Brinkman of New Denmark, NB, passed away peacefully at the Tobique Valley Manor on February 28, 2018. She was the wife of the late Simon Brinkman.

Bernice was born in New Denmark, NB, on August 16, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Soren and Bessie (Carlsen) Hansen. Bernice leaves behind her children, Peter Brinkman (Linda) of New Denmark, NB, Nancy Hawkins (Cyril) of Fredericton, NB; her grandchildren, Polly Brinkman-Mills, Ashley Hawkins, Joshua Hawkins, and Kayla Hawkins; great grandchildren, Stanley Brinkman-Mills and Rachel Brinkman-Mills; her sisters, Yetta Christensen of New Denmark, NB, and Betty Ketch (Arthur) of Jacksonville, NB.

Bernice was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her daughters, Debbie and Janice Brinkman; her sister, Aimee Merriam; brothers, Gordon and Harmon Hansen.

Funeral service was held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 3 pm from Amazing Grace Church, Limestone Siding, NB. Rev. Roy Dee officiated. Interment will be in St. Ansgar's Anglican Cemetery at a later date.

Music for the service was by Terri Johnsen and Dean Hansen. The eulogy was given by Bernice's daughter, Nancy Hawkins. The honorary pallbearer was John Brinkman.

Pallbearers were Donnie Christensen, Ronnie Christensen, David Christensen, Stephen Christensen, Dean Hansen, and Larry Brinkman.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.
