Marietta Connell

Marietta Lila Connell of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at the Victoria Glen Manor on May 5, 2018.

Marietta was born in Lake Edward, NB, on June 15, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Rose (Rivers) Johnston. Marietta leaves behind her daughters, Audrey Connell of Aroostook, NB, Lora Johnston (Hazen) of Gregg Settlement, NB; her sister, Alice Ruest of Tobique Narrows, NB; along with four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Marietta was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Frederick Connell; her son Emmett Connell; sisters, Myrtle Johnston, Effie Dunster, Laura LaFrance, Florence Smith, and Mildred Downey; brothers, Alex, Ivan, Stephen, and Willard Johnston.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 3 pm from Trinity Anglican Church in Perth-Andover, NB. Father Stephen Harnish officiated. Interment followed in St. Alban's Anglican Cemetery, Medford, NB.

Music for the service was by organist Elizabeth Sullivan. The eulogy was given by Marietta's granddaughter, Trish Parker.

Pallbearers were Jeff Connell, Wade Parker, Keith Smith, Hazen Johnston, Justin Parker, and Stewart Dunster.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.
