Alvie Elliott
Alvie Morrison Elliott passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family on June 26, 2018, after a brief illness.

He was born the youngest son of Jennie (Witherly) & Fredrick Elliott on October 3, 1935 in Sisson Ridge, NB. He is survived by his wife Ruth Marie (Cox) of 48 years, children; Vicki McRae (Rick), Valerie Burgoyne (Bliss), Emily Wand (Patrick), Vanessa Manderville (Darin), Viola Elliott, Lynn Charlton (Terry), Brenda LaTorre (Ron ), Paul Anderson (Trudy), Kenneth Anderson (Diana), Laurel Anderson (Wesley), Marion Goodine (Blair), many grandchildren, great grandchildren, neices and nephews and his cat Garfield.

He was predeceased by infant son Vaughn Alvie, his parents and siblings, Faye, Alden, Donald, Gilford, Glenna, and Russell.

Aside from his love for his family, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and passed on his love of the great outdoors to his children. He also enjoyed the many summers spent at Ponhook Lake in Nova Scotia camping and the love of many friendships made.

Throughout his life he worked in many different occupations; heavy equipment operator, Department of Transportation and truck driver, until an occupational accident in 1978. He then began his career in Security/Maintenance at Tobique Valley Hospital until his retirement in 1995.

He was also a member of the Grand Lodge - IOOF and served as Grand Master - Maritime Leader from 1979 - 1980.

A graveside service was held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 2 pm at the Linton Corner Cemetery. Rev. Dwayne Broad officiated.

Music for the service was by Valerie Tompkins.

Pallbearers were Blair Goodine, Darin Maderville, Jami Manderville, Mark Manderville, Kristen Michaud, and Troy Michaud,

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
