Clara Jackson of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on September 9, 2018.

Clara was born in Kilburn, NB, on April 1, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Elva Inman (Kerr). Clara leaves behind her daughter, Kimberley Collicott (Ken) of Toronto, ON, and sons Larry Ruff (Christie) of Quispamsis, NB, and Michael Ruff (Lanette); her son-in-law, Chris McCarthy of White Rock, BC; her step-children Linda Hamilton of Calgary, AB, Bill Jackson (Kathy) of Tilley, NB, Michael Jackson of Perth-Andover, NB; sisters Flora Nye (Donald) of Perth-Andover, Maxine Osborne (John) of Calgary, Ruth Davidson (George) of Kilburn; brothers Paul Inman (Hazel) of Fredericton, Gerald Inman (Auralie) of Woodstock, Percy Inman (Gloria) of Kilburn; her sister-in-law, Marietta Inman of Perth-Andover; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, several step-great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Clara was predeceased by her parents; her first husband, David Ruff; her second husband, Cecil Jackson; daughter, Sharon McCarthy; infant twin boys; and her brother John Inman.

Clara had many roles over her lifetime including 22 years as a school teacher, a pharmacy technician, and seamstress. Clara was a lifelong member of the Perth-Andover Wesleyan Church and served as a board member for many years. She was very active in the community and loved when people came to visit. Overall, her favorite role was that of mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11 am at the Perth-Andover Wesleyan Church. Pastor Reg Thomas officiated. Interment followed at the Mineral Cemetery.

Music for the service was by Vangie Inman, Mark Inman, and Christie Ruff. The eulogy was given by Clara's children, Kim Collicott, Larry Ruff, and Michael Ruff. Other remembrances were shared by Clara's grandchildren and Gerald Inman.

Pallbearers were David Ruff, Nathan Collicott, Randy Inman, Kevin Inman, Mark Inman, and Malcolm Nye.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
