When she was 17, she married the love of her life, George Malcolm Stevenson, and moved to Arthurette. Her life revolved around her family and community. She was the first President of Arthurette Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Branch # 85. In her later years, her grandsons were a source of great pride.
