Edith DeLeavey
Following a brief illness, Edith DeLeavey of Crombie Settlement, NB, passed away peacefully at the Edmundston Regional Hospital on October 30, 2018.

Edith was born in Crombie Settlement, NB, on December 9, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Wellington and Doris (Bell) Yeomans. Edith leaves behind her daughters, Michele Edgin (Chuck), Julie Breau (Curtis) both of Crombie Settlement, NB; her sons, Dale DeLeavey (Claudette) of Crombie Settlement, NB, Greg DeLeavey (Diana) of Ponoka, AB, Calvin DeLeavey (Michelle) of Moncton, NB; 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; her sisters, Jessie Yeomans of Perth-Andover, NB, Myrna Andersen of British Columbia, Carol Hathaway (Sterling) of Fort Fairfield, ME; her brothers, Glen Yeomans (Olive) of Sisson Ridge, NB; her special niece, Valerie Burgoyne of North View, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Edith was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Allison "Tony" DeLeavey; her daughter, Paula DeLeavey; brothers, Emery, Donald, Charles, Boyd, and Clarence Yeomans; sisters, Kay Goodine and Jean Campbell.

Edith graduated from Tobique Valley High School in 1950 and completed Teacher's College in 1951. Edith touched many lives as a teacher, teaching in several local schools and in Ontario. She was also a veteran of the Canadian Air Force.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2 pm from the Tobique Chapel. Rev. Dwayne Broad officiated. Interment
followed in Three Brooks Cemetery.

Music for the service was by Valerie Tompkins. The eulogy was given by Rev. Dwayne Broad.

Pallbearers were Curtis Breau, Hayden Breau, Hunter Breau, Holden Breau, Tyler Stacey, and Jeff Yeomans.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
