James Maxwell Baird
James "Jim" Baird of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on November 6, 2018 following a short battle with cancer.

Jim was born in Perth-Andover, NB, on April 12, 1949. He was the son of the late Robert E. and Margaret (Maxwell) Baird. Jim leaves behind his wife, Linda Baird (Jamer); his daughters, Andrea Baird of Summerside, PE, Kimberly Delwisch (Kenton) of Smithers, BC, Julie Green (Jason) of Perth-Andover, NB; his grandchildren, Brooke and Taylor Delwisch, Anson and Ainsley Green; his siblings, Roy Baird (Linda) of Currie Siding, NB, Frances DeMerchant (Warrie) of Fredericton, NB, Alfred Baird (Charlene) of Perth-Andover, NB, Vicki Skinner (Doug) of Perth-Andover, NB, Pam Baird of Perth-Andover, NB.

Jim was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Victor Baird.

Jim retired as a Customs Officer with CBSA in 2014. He previously served as a member of the RCMP Auxiliary, a member of the NB Highway Patrol, a member of the Perth-Andover Village Council and NB Crime Stoppers.

Jim was a current member of AVCC, the Florenceville Curling Club, the Perth-Andover Electric Commission, and True North Baptist Church, Florenceville, NB.

Funeral service was held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 1 pm from True North Church, Florenceville, NB. Rev. Michael Palmer and Rev. Dustin Day officiated. Interment followed in Larlee Creek Cemetery, Perth-Andover, NB.

Music for the service was by Brent DeMerchant, Lew and Cindy Denny.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the Canadian Border Services Agency.

Pallbearers were Greg Inman, Raymond Crabbe, Dave Dove, Terry Hunter, Gary Greene, and Dennis DeMerchant.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
