Lawrence Alward

Lawrence Bliss Alward of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at the Victoria Glen Manor on the evening of November 12, 2018.

Lawrence was born in St. Martin's, NB, on June 13, 1933. He was the son of the late Harry and Beatrice (King) Alward. Lawrence leaves behind his loving wife, June Alward (Merritt); his daughters, Tina Delaney (Brian) of Halifax, NS, Melanie Alward of London, ON; his sons, Christopher Alward (Julia) of Fredericton, NB, Terrance Alward (Kim) of London, ON; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Lawrence was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Shirley Fraser.

Lawrence retired from the Canadian National Railway after a 36 year career.

Funeral service was held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2 pm from the Perth-Andover Baptist Church. Pastor Michael Fredericks officiated. Interment will be in Fair Haven Cemetery, Moncton, NB, at a later date.

Music for the service was by Pastor Michael Fredericks and Sylvia DeMerchant. The eulogy was given by Lawrence's son, Chris Alward.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
