Gilbert Fournier

Gilbert Joseph Fournier of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 29, 2018.

Gilbert was born in Green River, NB, on October 7, 1948. He was the son of the late Fidele and Viola (Martin) Fournier. Gilbert leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Gaetane Fournier (St-Pierre); his children, Jason Fournier of Perth-Andover, NB, and Cassie LeBlanc of Moncton, NB; his grandchildren, Kateri Fournier of Tobique First Nation, NB, and Ethan Fournier of Perth-Andover, NB; his sisters, Rose-Amie Wertepny of Fort Fairfield, ME, Rita Plant (Kevin) of Perth-Andover, NB, and Judy Blanchette (Robert) of Perth-Andover, NB; his brothers, John Fournier (Rejeanne) of Perth-Andover, NB, and Roy Fournier (Lillian) of Perth-Andover, NB.

Gilbert was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Kenneth Fournier; his sisters, Edwina St-Peter, Rejeanne Beaulieu, Bernadette Albert, and Cora Eagles.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 11 am from St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Father Curtis Sappier and Father Gilbert Doddatto co-celebrated. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.

Music for the service was by Carmela Murch, Isabel Morton, and Kateri Fournier. The eulogy was given by Gilbert's children, Cassie LeBlanc and Jason Fournier. The urn was carried by Gilbert's grandchildren, Kateri and Ethan Fournier.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
