Gilman Reginald Cyr passed away at Edmundston Regional Hospital on
Febuary 13, 2019.
Gilman was born in St-David, Me on October 9, 1936. He was the son of the late Leon Cyr and the late Yvonne Cyr. Gilman Leaves behind his wife : Evelyne Côté-Cyr of Edmundston; one daughter and two sons : Suzanne Cyr (Daniel Laderoute) of Ottawa,ON; Carl Cyr and Dathan Cyr, both of Naples, FL; three sisters and two brothers : Daisylene Cyr of Boston, MA; Wallace Cyr (Mildred Dionne) of Bangor, ME; Geneva Clifford (Jack) of Boston, MA; Daniel Cyr (Anne-Marie Bouchard-Cyr) of Madawaska, ME; Joanne Cyr of California; a Brother-in-law : Perry Good of Mars Hill, ME. He was predeceased by a sister : Thérèse Good.
Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home Ltd, 20 Church Street in Edmundston with visiting hours on Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, Febuary 16, 2019 at 12 pm from the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Edmundston with interment in the parish cemetery. Father Guy Levesque officiated. The urn was carried by Carl Cyr. First reading was made by Chantal Côté-Demerchant and the Universal Prayers were read by Lorraine Stone. Bookmarks were distributed by John Ouellette and Jean Ouellette.
For those who wish, donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Bob Fyfe Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Résidences funéraires Brunswick Ltée, Edmundston.
