Frederick H. Grant

Frederick H. Grant of Fort Fairfield, ME, passed away peacefully at the Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle, ME, on Friday February 15, 2019.

Fred was born in Kilburn, NB, on April 1, 1928. He was the son of the late Leigh and Elsie (Gaudin) Grant. Fred leaves behind his daughter, Dawn Grant of Fort Fairfield, ME; his son, Dale Grant of Phoenix, AZ; his step-daughter, Pauline Hunter (Ed) of St. Stephen, NB,; his grandchildren, Heather, Tina, Ed, Michelle, Paula, and Jennifer; several great grandchildren, Byron, Dale, Corey, Tiffany, and Liam; his sisters, Marion Weaver of Florida, Audrey Walsh of Campbellton, NB, Dorothy DeMerchant of Hamilton, ON, and Joan Good of Greenwood, NS; his brothers, Keith Grant of Fredericton, NB, and Gary Grant (Margaret) of Perth-Andover, NB.

Fred was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Lois Grant (Wortman); his daughter, Sheila Grant; his daughter-in-law, Adrienne Grant; his infant brother, Robert Grant; and sisters Linda Finnamore and Elizabeth McHugh.

Fred worked as a bulldozer operator until he retired at the age of 80 years.

Funeral service was held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11 am from Brunswick Funeral Home. Rev. Mel Norton officiated. Interment will be in the Kilburn Community Cemetery at a later date.

Music for the service was by Roland Wortman. The eulogy was also given by Roland Wortman.

Pallbearers were Michael Grant, Dale Winslow, Byron Winslow, Corey Belanger, Gary Grant, and Mike Grant.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.
