Aloma Jean Evelina Pelkey of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on May 18, 2019.

Aloma was born in Currie Road on August 20, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Phyllis Abell (maiden name Swazey). Aloma leaves behind her son Gerald Pelkey of Fredericton, NB; four grandchildren, Cameron Pelkey, Matthew Pelkey, Joshua Pelkey, and Lauren Pelkey; her daughter-in-law, Merridy Pelkey of Carlingford, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her sons Thomas Pelkey, Ian Pelkey and a pre-born son (between Thomas and Ian).

Aloma worked many years as a Registered Nursing Assistant. She had a very big heart and enjoyed her work helping people. She was a cancer survivor.

Funeral service was held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 2 pm at Calvary Tabernacle. Rev. David Ferrell officiated, assisted by Rev. H.M. Lewis and Rev. Jonathan McNair. Interment followed in the Sunset Cemetery, California Settlement, NB.

Music for the service was by Rev. David and Roma Ferrell. The eulogy was given by Gerald Pelkey.

Pallbearers were Gerald Pelkey, Joshua Pelkey, Danny Pelkey, Gregory Pelkey, Rod Pelkey, and Matthew Pelkey.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.
