1948-2019

Maureen Gee
Following a courageous battle with cancer and with her family by her side, Maureen Lynn Gee of Currie Siding, NB passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on the evening of October 14, 2019.

Maureen was born in Toronto, ON, on November 9, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Lillian (Preston) Paxton. Maureen leaves behind her loving husband of 52 years, Jon Gee; her daughters, Debra Davenport (Reg) of Perth-Andover, NB, Dawn Dickson (Wayland) of Perth-Andover, NB, Donna Lagacy (Darren) of Grand Barachois, NB; her son, Jon Gee Jr. (Tammy) of Upper Kingsclear, NB; thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren with two more on the way.

Maureen was predeceased by her parents; her grandson, Leigh Davenport; her sister, Colleen Elliott; and her brother, Robert Paxton.

Maureen worked a many different jobs during her life. Her most recent job before retirement was delivering mail for Canada Post. She was also a very active member of the Rowena Pentecostal Church.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 1 pm from the Rowena Pentecostal Church. Father Curtis Sappier officiated. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery.

The eulogy was given by Maureen's daughter, Debra Davenport. The urn was carried by Jeff and Jessie Elliott.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.
