Geraldine Baker
1928-2020
It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of
Geraldine Martha (McLaughin) Baker, Geraldine passed away peacefully
with her son by her side on March 19, 2020 at Hotel Dieu of St. Joseph
Hospital Perth-Andover, NB.
Geraldine was born in Limestone Siding on April 5,1928, she was the daughter of the late Newman and Inez (Davenport) McLaughlin. Geraldine was the last living member of her family of eleven. Beside her parents Geraldine was predeceased by her loving husband, Herman J. Baker, her daughter, Mary Ann Boone, son-in-law, Roger Boone, brothers Arthur, Milford, Hubert and Paul; her sisters, Hope, Madeline, Maxine, Winnifred, Eva, and Camilla.
Geraldine is survived by her sons David (Linda), Douglas (Rebecca), Paul, her daughter Norma Robinson (David) and her very special niece Marjorie Boon (Harry).
Geraldine is also survived by her grand children, Lori-Ann Gray (Bryon), Kathy Kyle, Alicia Baker, Amanda Boone, Adam Boone (Mandy), Mitch Baker (Lethabo), Michelle Baker (Will) and Mason Baker. Her great grand-children, Logan and Abigail Kyle, Mina and Rori Baker, Kayleigh and Dexter Brown, Alyssa, Griffin, Brooklyn and Gavin Boone.
Geraldine loved her family and showed this through her acts of kindness to them all whether it be by knitting of socks, mittens and gloves to the homemade quilts she gave to each of them. She loved to play 45's and the time she went to games with her great friends, Rose and Gail. She loved her visits with Belinda and Marjorie and those who stopped in for tea just to chat and to make her day. The family would like to thank her homecare workers for their dedication and devotion to mom to allow her to remain in her home until her final days, you are all angels of care.
The family would like to thank the paramedics of Ambulance NB, Dr. Josh O'Hagan, Dr. Andrew Kennedy, Dr. David Bell, Kelly Tompkins, Nurse Manager of the Medical unit, all nursing staff, and those whom showed kindness to mom and the family during this very difficult time under the circumstances.
A celebration of Geraldine's life will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tilley, NB, on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 11 am. Father Curtis Sappier celebrating.
The family request charitable donations be made to the St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery Fund.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.
