With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Allison DeMerchant "AD" of Kilburn, NB, on March 31, 2020 at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital.

Allison was born in Bath, NB, on October 6, 1953. He was the son of the late Gordon and Norma (Watson) DeMerchant. Allison leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years, Geraldine DeMerchant (Giberson); his children, Tara Davenport (Justin) Davenport of Tinker, NB, Andrew DeMerchant of Bath, NB; his two amazing grandchildren, Emily and Bronson Davenport; his brothers, Ronnie DeMerchant (Heather) of Hillandale, NB, Paul DeMerchant (Tara) of Calgary, AB, David DeMerchant of Moncton, NB.

Allison was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Larry DeMerchant.

Allison dedicated many years of his life to turning wrenches. In his younger years building fast cars to his later years of rebuilding tractors. Could he ever tune a carburetor.

Allison enjoyed hunting and fishing and telling stories. And boy when he told a story he required everyone's attention, and could repeatedly tell it word for word. Allison was well known in his little Kilburn community. He was always willing to help out his neighbors whatever the need was. He will be truly missed.

Due to the ongoing situation with the Covid-19 virus, a memorial service with family and friends will be held at a later date.

For those who wish, memorial donations to the Southern Victoria Cancer Assistance Fund or to the Kilburn Community Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.
