Mabel Eagles

Mabel Alice Eagles of Plaster Rock, NB, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, March 9, 2024.

Mabel was born in Tabusintac, NB, on September 2, 1922. She was the daughter of the late George and Velma (Robertson) MacCallum. She was the last surviving member of her family.

Mable leaves behind her daughter, Diane George, her sons, H. William Eagles (Sheila) and Tom Eagles (Cheryl) all of Plaster Rock, NB; her grandchildren, Ryan Eagles, Daniel Eagles, Brett Eagles, Brook Eagles, Mark Eagles, Brenda Reid, and Richard George; ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

Mabel was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Harry Eagles Sr. in 1972; her grandson, Steven Edward Eagles; her son-in-law, Reginald George; her siblings, Arthur (Leila) Neil, Avis (Whitney) Leiper, Josie (Gordon) Christophersen, Donald (Glenna) MacCallum, and George MacCallum.

Funeral service was held at the Family Worship Center on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 2 pm. Pastor D. R. McKillop officiated, assisted by Rev. Glen Christophersen. Interment will be in the Plaster Rock Cemetery in the spring.

The eulogy was given by Bill Eagles. Remarks were also shared by Tom Eagles and Brenda Reid.
