Earl Briggs
1922-2010
Following a courageous battle with cancer, Earl Briggs of Crombie
Settlement passed away peacefully at his home on February 11,
2010.
Born in Bristol, NB on January 29, 1922, he was the son of the late Henry and Barbara (Tyrrell) Briggs. Earl leaves behind his wife Rosalie (Michaud) Briggs; his step-daughters Donna Donald of Crombie Settlement, Judy Lloyd of New Denmark; his step-son Reed Rasmussen (Cindy) of New Denmark; his sister Anna Mae Birnie of Plaster Rock; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his half-sisters Jessie Woods, Doris Yeomans; half-brothers Jack and Donald Bell; brother Merle Briggs and a sister Phyllis Inman.
Resting at the Tobique Chapel with visitation on Friday from 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 2:30 pm from the Tobique Chapel in Plaster Rock with Rev. Lorne Freake officiating. Interment will be in the Linton Corner Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
