Theresa Elaine Paine

The passing of Theresa Elaine Paine of Tobique First Nation occurred unexpectedly at her home on July 8, 2010.

Born at Tobique First Nation, NB on October 15, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Sr. and Pauline (Saulis) Nicholas. Elaine leaves behind her sons Kenneth Paine (Robin) of Wyoming, RI, Stephen Paine (Stephanie) of Hope Valley, RI; grandsons Hunter, Mason, and Nicholas; sisters Doreen Parrish (Glen) of Sherman, TX, Freda Jividen (Gerald) of Tobique First Nation; brothers Andrew Nicholas Jr. (Marilyn), Barry Nicholas, Timothy Nicholas (Sandra) all from Tobique First Nation, Darryl Nicholas (Andrea) and The Honourable Graydon Nicholas (Elizabeth) both of Fredericton, NB; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Gilbert Paine; and brothers Dennis and Allison Nicholas.

Elaine enjoyed many pastimes, but her favorite was playing bingo. She was a member of the Tobique Elders Club and St. Ann's Travel Club.

Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 11 am from St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Father Curtis Sappier will celebrate, Father Gilbert Doddatto will co-celebrate. Interment will be in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Tobique First Nation, NB. For those who wish, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
