Hugh Shirley Sr.

Hugh Shirley Sr. of Tilley passed away at the Victoria Glen Manor on January 23, 2012.

Hugh was born in Minto, NB on March 19, 1930 and was the son of the late William and Margaret (Agnew) Shirley. Hugh leaves behind his daughters Mavis Turner (Colin) of Odell, Diane Kennard (Bruce) of Centerville, Patsy Shirley of Ontario; sons Hugh Shirley Jr. (Anita) of Anderson Road, Keith Shirley (Pauline) of Currie Road; sisters Bertha of Nova Scotia, Madeline and Lillian, both of Alberta; brothers Kenny Shirley and Clayton Shirley , both of Nova Scotia; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife Doris Shirley (Treby); grandson Justin; sister Greta Hanson; brothers Reg, Norman, and ray Shirley.

In accordance with the family's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Lerwick Free Will Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations to the NB Alzheimer Society or to the Victoria Glen Manor would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
