Ferne Hitchcock of Aroostook passed away at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph
Hospital on the evening of May 23, 2013.
Born in California Settlement on July 25, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Lena (O'Neal) Butler. Ferne leaves behind her daughter Carolyn Grant (Eric) of Four Falls; her sons Grant Hitchcock of Aroostook, Gerald Hitchcock (Denise) of Newmarket, ON; her sister Linda Butler of California Settlement; her brother Lloyd Butler (Greta) of California Settlement; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her sisters Marcia Anderson and Mona Barclay; her brother Raymond Butler.
Funeral service was held on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 2 pm from Brunswick Funeral Home. Rev. Roy Dee officiated. Interment will be in the Sunset Cemetery, California Settlement, at a later date.
Music for the service was by Barbara Moran and Lorie-Ann Tracey.
Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
