Fern Nicholas

Fern Mae Nicholas of Tobique First Nation passed away at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on April 8, 2014.

Born in Tobique First Nation on February 15, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Cecilia (Nicholas) Francis. She leaves behind her children Mary "Rona" Martinez (Juan) and Vincent Nicholas (Denise), both of Tobique First Nation, Charles Nicholas (Rhonda) of Woodstock First Nation; her brother Ralph Francis of Tobique First Nation; grandchildren Calvin, Scottie, Jade, Danielle, Shane, Katie, Sarah, Chelsey, Sean, Nisha, Chatawna, Meko, Shaye, Kwabid, Alex, and Jessica; great grandchildren Bronson, Noah, Tamara, Clara, Linkin, Nevaeh, Justin, Sadie, Shyla, Brennen, Kayel, Noel, Wesley, Asiah, Teddy, River, Hazen, Christopher, Saige, Ayla, Courtney, Chandler, and Sonny. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Anthony Nicholas; her sister Alice Bear; brothers George Francis and Harold Francis.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11 am from St. Ann's Catholic Church. Father Curtis Sappier celebrated. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.

Music for the service was by organist Tracy Hamilton and the Francis family. The eulogy was given by Kenny Lennon.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
