Arthur Smith

Surrounded by his family, Arthur Smith of Moncton, formerly of Perth-Andover, passed away at the Upper River Valley Hospital on June 26, 2014.

Born in Tobique Narrows on September 2, 1937, he was the son of the late Albert and Grace (Inman) Smith. Arthur leaves behind his children Sandra Fitzherbert (Kirby Jensen) of Greenfield, Jamie Smith (Beth Toner) of Clearview; his sister Dorothy Nightingale of Fort Fairfield, ME; his brother Dalton Smith (Joyce) of Perth-Andover; grandchildren Megan and Eric Smith, A.J., Jessica, and Makayla Fitzherbert; great grandchildren Ryan Ginson and Jocelyn Fitzherbert; a special friend Bertha Ayles of Moncton; a sister-in-law Bonnie Smith of Perth-Andover, a brother-in-law Michael Mclean of Aroostook; and several nieces and nephews and extended family.

Arthur was predeceased by his parents; sisters Zetta Smith, Gert Mills, Ruth Seely, and Mary McLean; brothers Paul, Gene, Gerald, and Donald Smith; his sister-in-law Jeritza Smith; brothers-in-law Herman Nightingale and Phillip Seely.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 3 pm from Brunswick Funeral Home. Rev. Todd McGuire officiated. Interment followed in the Larlee Creek Cemetery.

Organist for the service was Penny McGuire. The eulogy was given by Beth Toner.

Pallbearers were Norman McGuire, David McGuire, Ricky Toner, John Smith, Darren Smith, and Sid Cullins.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
