Rosalie "Rosie" Paul-Smyth
Rosalie “Rosie” Paul-Smyth of Tobique First Nation, passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on July 10, 2014.

Rosie was born in Tobique First Nation, NB on November 17, 1954. She was the daughter of the late Donald and Mary (Bernard) Paul. Rosie leaves behind her daughters, Caryn Ellyn Smyth (William) of Maryland, USA, and Heather Smyth of Fredericton; her sister, Imelda of Saint Mary’s First Nation along with her husband (David) Perley of Tobique First Nation; and her brothers, Donald (Jean) Paul of Tobique First Nation, Robert Paul of Georgia, USA, and Dana (Gisele) Paul of Grand Falls. Besides her parents, Rosie was predeceased by her infant sister April.

Funeral service was held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 11 am from St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Tobique First Nation. Father Curtis Sappier celebrated. Interment followed in St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery, Tobique First Nation.

Music for the service was by organist Tracy Hamilton and the church choir. The eulogy was given by Edwin Bernard.

Pallbearers were Stephen Hardy, Bob Kier, Philip Sappier, Mike Bernard, Ross Bernard, Edwin Bernard, Dale Solomon, Ron Francis, George Gustitus, Jamie Idol, and Dave Paul,

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
