Mary Jenkins

Mary Jenkins of Plaster Rock passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on July 19, 2014.

Mary was born in Grand Falls on April 27, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Mable (Gough) Pickard. She leaves behind her daughter Loretta Pelkey of Fredericton; her sons Preston Jenkins (Peggy) of Plaster Rock, Eric Jenkins (Donna) of Plaster Rock, Michael Jenkins (Faith) of Stanley, Alan Jenkins (Edwina) of Burntland Brook, Jeff Jenkins (Tammy) of Plaster Rock; her sisters Josie Deleavey of Plaster Rock, Dorothy Tapley of Plaster Rock, Joan Gailing (Pat) of McGrath, AB; her brother Terrance Pickard of Oxbow; 17 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Clayton Jenkins; her special friend Jim Stevenson; her daughter-in-law Vicky Jenkins; granddaughter Cindy Jenkins; sisters Dora Lewis and Anna Jenkins; brothers Chester, Fred, Raymond, Ronald, James, and Steven Pickard.

Mary was loved by family and all who knew her. She was a sweet and gentle woman who loved her Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. She will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 3 pm from the Tobique Chapel. Mr. Michael Chase officiated. Interment followed in the Burntland Brook Cemetery.

Music for the service was by Michael Chase. The eulogy was given by Peggy Jenkins. The urn was carried by Stephen Jenkins.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
