1926-2014
Madeline Rose Steeves of Plaster Rock, NB, formerly of North View, NB,
passed away at the Grand Falls General Hospital on July 30, 2014.
She was born in North View, NB on May 29, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Amos and Emma (Hathaway) Steeves. She leaves behind her son Alfonso Parra (Luisa Durante) of Laval, Quebec; her sister Pauline Wark of Sisson Ridge; her brother Joseph Steeves (Violet) of Weaver; her grandchildren Rebecca, Nahanni, Dina, and Ginna. She was predeceased by her parents; her sisters Helen Brown (Perley), Eva McLeod (Simon), Shirley Goodine (Joseph); brothers Robert Steeves (Phyllis), Gordon Steeves, and George Steeves (Erva).
She will be dearly missed by the Parra and Barrera families in Colombia, as well as her brothers and sisters from the church.
Funeral service was held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 4 pm from the Family Worship Center. Rev. Fred Wickett and Rev. Daniel McKillop officiated. Interment followed in the Linton Corner Cemetery.
Music for the service was by Barb Moran, Lori Tracey, and the FWC Trio. The eulogy was given by Alfonso Parra.
Flower carriers were Rebekah Barry, Rozanna McAllister, and Jayne Parish.
Pallbearers were Roy Dee, Jordan Munn, Isaac Tracey, James Parish, Jeremy Parish, and Dustin Quinn.
Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
