Clarence "Joe" Bernard
Clarence "Joe" Bernard passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 7, 2015.

Joe was born on August 10, 1940. He is predeceased by his wife Constance Bernard (Deveau); parents Joseph Clarence and Louise Flora Verge; sister Priscialla; brothers Peter, Alfred and Oliver; sons Joey and Andrew; stepdaughters Gail Nicholas and Glenna Perley; and stepson Lloyd Nicholas. he is survived by his daughter Georgette (Bitty) Wyatt; sisters Rosalie Hartlan, Beatrice Haynes, Vivian Schneider (Ben Karnegie); brothers Armand Bernard, Jack (Rebecca) Bernard, Leon Bernard, many nieces and nephews, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joe served honourably in the United States Air Force and was deployed in Europe, Asia and at the Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine and the Strategic Air Command at Offut Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska. We honour his service for our peace.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 11 am from St. Ann's Catholic Church, Tobique First Nation, NB. Father Curtis Sappier celebrated. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery at a later date.

Music for the service was by organist Tracey Hamilton and the Francis family. The eulogy was given by Aaron Nicholas.

Honorary pallbearers were Chief Ross Perley, Carroll Shomate, Tina Martin, Vaughn Nicholas Sr., Reuben Deveau, and Eldon Bernard.

Pallbearers were Larry Sockabasin Jr., Corey Nicholas, Eric Nicholas, Michael Lewey, Sterling Perley, and John Deveau Jr.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
