Josephine "Josie" Deleavey
Josephine "Josie" Deleavey of Plaster Rock passed away peacefully at the Grand Falls General Hospital on February 20, 2015.

Josie was born in North View, NB on March 27, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Mabel (Gough) Pickard. Josie leaves behind her children Colleen Inman (Paul) of Crombie Settlement, Brent Deleavey (Violet) of Plaster Rock, Lance Deleavey (Solange Roberge) of Crombie Settlement, Benny Deleavey (Rachel Sirois) of Anderson Road; her sisters Dorothy Tapley (Jim Ashford) of Everett, Joan Gailing (Pat) of Calgary, AB; her brother Terrance Pickard of Oxbow; grandchildren Cheryl, Jason, Derek, Craig, Tina, Kristan, and Sydney; along with several great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Robert "Harry" Deleavey; her son Gary Deleavey; sisters Anna Jenkins, Dora Lewis, and Mary Jenkins; brothers Chester, Frederick, Raymond, Steven, Ronald, and James Pickard.

Josephine was a business operator in her earlier years. She owned and operated a small convenience store in Blue Bell for several years. She also had the first take-out establishment in Blue Bell. Later, she worked at McCain Foods in Grand Falls.

She enjoyed many activities. Among them were cooking, gardening, knitting, and doing puzzles.

Respecting Josie's wishes, there will be no service at this time. A graveside service will be held at Burntland Brook cemetery at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
