Edna Murray

Edna Mae Murray of Woodstock, formerly of Plaster Rock, passed away at the Carleton Manor in Woodstock on February 21, 2015.

Edna was born in Blue Mountain Bend, NB on May 9, 1922. She was the daughter of the late James and Annie (Iverson) McCarty. Edna leaves behind her daughters Connie Yeomans of Plaster Rock, Carol Giberson (John) of Mapleview; her sons Winston Murray of Plaster Rock, Alfred Murray (Yvette) of Odell; seven grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her grandson Devin Yeomans; her sister Margaret Canning; brothers Charles, Bruce, and Duncan McCarty.

A private funeral service was held on Monday, February 23, 2015 from the Tobique Chapel in Plaster Rock. Pastor Shawn Cronkite officiated. Interment will be in the Burntland Brook Cemetery at a later date.

Music for the service was by Rev. Everett and Lois Corcoran, Pastor Shawn Cronkite, and Mr. David King. The eulogy was given by Kelly Murray.

Pallbearers were David King, George Michaud, Kevin Murray, Logan Bedford, Stephen Prior, and Keisha Murray.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
