Phyllis Jean Abell of Perth-Andover passed away at Hotel Dieu St.
Joseph Hospital on February 27, 2015.
Phyllis was born in Tilley on March 12, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Nellie Swazey. Phyllis leaves behind her daughter Aloma Pelkey of Perth-Andover; her sisters Donna Pelkey (Rufus) of Aroostook, Frances Whitmore of Caribou, ME; her brother Roy Swazey (Clara) of Wilkson, NY; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Gerald Abell; her grandson Ian Pelkey; her sister Alice Pelkey; brothers Herbert, Allison, Glen, and Jack Swazey.
Funeral service was held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 2 pm from Trinity Anglican Church. Rev. Robert Leblanc officiated. Interment will be in St. Alban's Anglican Cemetery, Medford, NB at a later date.
Music for the service was by Barbara Moran and Lorie-Ann Tracey. The eulogy was given by Gerald Pelkey.
Honorary pallbearers were Richard Stacey, Russell Knox, Duane McDougall, Victor Morrell, Stephen DeMerchant, and Rufus Pelkey.
Pallbearers were Josh Pelkey, Darrell Swazey, Ian Swazey, Greg Pelkey, Rod Pelkey, Adrian Pelkey.
Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
