Lena McAllister

Lena McAllister of Perth-Andover passed away peacefully at the Victoria Glen Manor on April 6, 2015.

Lena was born in Lerwick, NB on October 12, 1913. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Leslie) Goodine. Lena leave behind her daughters Myrtle Chambers of Manchester, CT, Mavis Smith of Perth-Andover, Dorothy Smithkey of Perth-Andover; her sons Kenneth McAllister (Cecelia) of Fredericton, Arnold McAllister (Margaret) of Lethbridge, AB, Aubrey McAllister of Port Hardy, BC; 17 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Henry McAllister; her son Elery McAllister; granddaughter Tina Marie McAllister; grandson Blake McAllister; her sister Lillian Plant; her brother Lawrence Goodine; one daughters-in-law and two son-in-law.

Funeral service was held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 2 pm from Calvary Tabernacle, Perth-Andover. Rev. D.T. Ferrell officiated, assisted by Rev. H.M. Lewis and Rev. Jonathan McNair. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date.

Music for the service was by Rev. David Ferrell and organist Carolyn Kinney.

Pallbearers were Carol Demmings, Janetta Barclay, Barb Bowmaster, Lanette Virtanin, Lisa Pickard, Colleen Pelkey, Anna Marie Nicholas, and Julie Bigelow.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
