Iris McCarthy

With her family by her side, Iris Ann McCarthy of Grand Falls Portage passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on November 16, 2020.

Iris was born in Caribou, ME, on October 13, 1953. She was the daughter of the late Amos and Loretta (Hitchcock) Bellefleur. Iris leaves behind her loving husband of 47 years, Daryl McCarthy Sr.; her children, Danelle McCaw (Jason) of Geary, NB, Daryl McCarthy Jr. (Carole Deschênes) of Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska, NB; her grandchildren, Tyler McCarthy (Kayla), Jason McCaw (Tara), Alyssa McCaw, and Angel Smith (Andrew); her great grandchildren, Madison, Koby, Destiney, Marilyn, and Devyn; her sister, Roxie McLaughlin (Kevin) of Florida; her brothers, Amos Bellefleur (Lola) of Florida, Greg Bellefleur of Alabama; along with many nieces and nephews.

Iris was predeceased by her parents; her sister, SalRay Bellefleur; her brothers, Alan and Michael Bellefleur.

Funeral service celebrating Iris' life was held on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 11 am from St. Patrick's Catholic Church (Grand Falls Portage). Father Gilbert Doddatto celebrated. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.

Music for the service was by St. Mary of the Angels Church choir. The urn bearer was Iris' grandson, Tyler McCarthy.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.
