Pauline Hathaway

1930-2021

Pauline Hathaway
Pauline Nancy Hathaway of Beech Glen Road passed away peacefully at the Victoria Glen Manor on the evening of January 1, 2021.

Pauline was the daughter of the late Trueman and Pearl (DeMerchant) Larlee. Pauline leave behind her daughter, Lois Moore (Joe) of Perth-Andover, NB; her sons, Arnold Hathaway of Perth-Andover, NB, Murray Hathaway (Shirley) of Perth-Andover, NB, Roy Hathaway (Maxine) of Fort Fairfield, ME; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; her sister, Evelyn Stubbs (Bryan) of Perth-Andover, NB; her brother, Grover Larlee (Eileen) of Arthurette, NB; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Pauline was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Herman Hathaway; her daughter, Joan Hathaway; and her sister, Ruth Cannon.

After the passing of her husband in 2010, Pauline lived in her home for seven years with the help of her family and homecare workers with whom she formed some lasting friendships. With her health declining along with her eyesight, it came time for the next move. It was to the Victoria Glen Manor. She live there for three years and celebrated her 90th birthday during the pandemic.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses, staff, volunteers, Dr. Allison Kennedy, and Dr. Peter Moore for her care.

Pauline lived a simple life. She was just happy being a mom, grandmother, and great grandmother to her special family. She enjoyed and looked forward to family gatherings and the phone calls from her grandchildren out West. She loved to have her son Murray bring his guitar and sing to her. Pauline would have a yard sale every year that would last every weekend from summer to fall. That would make her day, just to chat with the neighbors and friends.

Her Heavenly Father was a very important part of her life. She never missed a Soul Harbour Service on Sunday or the lovely services at the manor.

I was very blessed as a daughter to have had the opportunity to help Mom rededicate her life to Christ just two days before her passing. Now our special Angel has gone home with her Lord and Savior and her dear loved ones. She will be forever missed by her beloved family.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 2 pm from Brunswick Funeral Home. Rev. H.M. Lewis officiated. Interment will be in Larlee Creek Cemetery at a later date.

Soloist for the service was Alisha Lee.

Pallbearers were Murray Hathaway, Roy Hathaway, Justin Hathaway, Joe Moore, Larry Miller, and Neil Hathaway.
