Roberta DeMerchant
Roberta DeMerchant of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on Sunday, March 28, 2021.

Roberta was born in Arthurette, NB, on July 8, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Iva (Smith) Campbell. Roberta leaves behind her daughters, Lois Buckingham (Laurel) of Moncton, NB, Barbara Lockhart (Eugene) of Woodstock, NB, Judith Dixon (Nathan) of Carlingford, NB; her son, Donald DeMerchant (Jayne) of Rothesay, NB; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; her sisters, Golda Grant of Alabama, Bernice Aylward (Dale) of Dawson Creek, BC, Beatrice Bragg (Jake) of Halifax, NS; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Roberta was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Stuart DeMerchant (2019); her daughters, Patricia Milbury and Cheryl Estey; her sister, Winona McKenzie; her brother, Verdell Campbell.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 2 pm from the Perth-Andover Wesleyan Church. Rev. Laurel D. Buckingham officiated, assisted by Rev. Reg Thomas. Interment will be in the Larlee Creek Cemetery at a later date.

Music for the service was by Rev. David and Roma Ferrell. The eulogy was given by Roberta's granddaughter, Lisa Riley.

Pallbearers were David Buckingham, Calvin Milbury, Ward Dixon, Benjamin DeMerchant, Zachary DeMerchant, and Mark DeMerchant.

The family would like to thank Dr. David Bell for his excellent care of our Mum for many years. Also, we wish to thank the kind and caring homemakers who cared for Mum in her home. And finally, we are grateful to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital and Extra-Mural for the wonderful, compassionate care given to our Mum over the years.
