John Burgoyne

With his wife by his side, John Thomas Burgoyne of Plaster Rock, NB, passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on March 31, 2021.

John was born in Perth-Andover, NB, on July 19, 1945. He was the son of the late Bruce and Dorothy (Tompkins) Burgoyne. John leaves behind his loving wife, Sheila Burgoyne (Davidson); his daughter, Shelly Yeroschak (Morris) of Olds, AB; his grandchildren, Victoria Hebert (Tyler), A.J. Hebert, Dexter Hebert (Taylor), Jessica Burgoyne, and Bruce Burgoyne; his great grandchildren, Paisley Shirley, Rylie Shirley, and one more great grandchild on the way, baby Hebert; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Burgoyne (Jim) of North View, NB; his sisters, Sandrea Burgoyne of Comox, BC, Hope Brayall (Dave) of Crombie Settlement, NB; his brothers, Winston Burgoyne (Mary Anne) of Plaster Rock, NB, Bliss Burgoyne (Valerie) of North View, NB.

John was predeceased by his parents; his son, Christopher Burgoyne; his brothers, Norman and Eugene Burgoyne.

Funeral service was held on Monday, April 5, 2021 at 3 pm from the Tobique Chapel. Rev. Carl DeMerchant officiated, assisted by Rev. Oral McAfee, Rev. Charles Hurlburt, and Rev. Brian Williams . Interment will be in the Three Brooks Cemetery at a later date.

Music for the service was by Sarah Francoeur. The eulogy was given by Herman Hudnut. The urn was carried by John's wife and best friend, Sheila Burgoyne.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock, NB.
